The website replaces one that was aging. This new website was built with the WordPress open-source content management system in conjunction with a “framework-theme” which we custom-designed for a structure, layout and look.

Roaming Schoolhouse

Roaming Schoolhouse

The Roaming Schoolhouse is a language school teaching English — from many locations in and near Paris — to bilingual children who follow the French school system. It organises holiday camps as well.

In addition, Boldset designed the visual identity and website for a Roaming Schoolhouse sister company, Schwa, that teaches French to senior executives and business schools. For Schwa we built also a custom teacher timesheet system.

Website

The website, which is driven by Drupal, includes a registration system so that parents can register their children for courses and camps on-line: this offers convenience for the parents, and significant productivity improvements for Roaming Schoolhouse. Once a parent/child is registered other features become possible, like targeted group e-mails, and the system remembering the parents and children from year to year.

The site includes also closed user groups, such that registered parents have privileged access to their child’s private class web-page, where teachers post news and information. This increases parent knowledge of what happens in class, and reinforces their feeling of participation.

Visual identity

With the redesign and re-building of the website, the visual identity has been refreshed. The jumbled letters in the logo and the ink-blot splash in the background show playfulness, which is inherent in teaching to kids.

The foundation’s vocation is to support artistic creation and to develop knowledge of the arts. It does this by organizing exhibitions (about 30 per year), and awarding scholarships and prizes.

Boldset designed and built a new website to replace the old one which had become dated.

Website

Built on Drupal 8. The website lists exhibitions, awards and prizes, showcasing the artists’ work by categories — both present and past, so it serves also as an archive of the foundation’s past activities.

The Lycée International is an international semi-private school offering a mother-tongue curriculum in various languages, within the French education system, to children aged 3 to 18 in a network of five French state schools in the Saint-Germain-en-Laye – Le Pecq area on the outskirts of Paris.

Boldset built a new website for then Lycée International British Section, replacing one that was many years old.

Website

The website is driven by Drupal, a platform which permits the possibility of more functionality and robustness than say WordPress. In addition to the public space, the website includes privileged content for Parents, teachers and staff.

SynDermix is a Swiss clinical-stage biotechnology company, targeting disorders affecting human internal and external skin conditions, in both medical and wellcare applications. They focus on products of natural origin. SynDermix is planning to list on SIX, the Swiss stock exchange..

In SynDermix’s rebranding initiative, Boldset designed and built the new visual identity, stationery, publicity and website.

Visual identity

The “S” in “SynDermix” shows as two curves representing yin and yang for the balance between internal and external skin, and wholesomeness of focusing on products of natural origin. The colour red, similar to the Swiss flag, denotes Swissness.

Website

The website is fluid-dynamic with large texts — an easy read with clear content.

Built on the open source WordPress CMS platform, the website includes also a private space, where investors log in for non-public information.

educational consortium, Paris

EDUCO is an educational consortium composed of the American universities Cornell, Duke, Emory and Tulane, providing undergraduates with the opportunity to study for one or two semesters in France.

The new website which went live in September 2015 replaced an existing WordPress site. The EDUCO logo pre-existed.

Website

The website is bilingual French-English for the general public, and is French for its logged-in users: for EDUCO staff, teachers and students. The various parts of the system are viewable/authorable/editable by various echelons of registered users, via a rights management system. The Drupal content management system was chosen to enable the building of web based functionality to enhance the efficiencies for EDUCO staff and indeed students, and to enrich the student experience. This website is a feature rich portal, and elements include

student pre-arrival site enrolment, such that a community is formed before students reach Paris
class pre-registration
private spaces visible to current students only (and EDUCO staff obviously), for class course content, academic information, and activities
targeted e-mailing, like to all pre-semester or semester students…
calendar of scheduled activities visible to only current students and staff, including also academic events and reminders
online student activity sign-up
student space for media and comment
course space for EDUCO classes, accessible to current students, teachers and staff
student alumni space.

The same rights management system governs the access hierarchy of EDUCO’s Le Millefeuille website, which is an online student magazine. The students’ active participation in this French language online publication contributes to their local immersion, hence augmenting EDUCO’s offering.
